Noor Medical is a startup dedicated to developing market-based ecosystems of care for safe surgery. By providing medical equipment to sterilize medical instruments, with capability to work in a variety of operational contexts, we are working towards improving the provision of safe surgery in rural and off-grid medical clinics

What we are looking for?

  • Experience in conducting market research and strength in identifying relevant sources of information.
  • Highly motivated individual who is interested in conducting research in the following areas:
    • Healthcare in low-resource contexts (with a focus on surgical access)
    • Healthcare clinic access and the networks responsible for providing care.
    • Data mining and big data in the realm of healthcare in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building Noor Medical’s understanding of healthcare market conditions in target countries.
  • Provide reports, presentations, and recommendations with explanation of findings to inform business decisions and identify new opportunities.
  • Drafting grant application materials and identifying grant opportunities, especially in Germany and Europe, to support the development of social enterprises.
  • Supporting the management in ad hoc tasks.

Minimum Skills & Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience drafting reports, grant applications, or similar documentation.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills in a business or non-profit context.
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel).
  • Advantageous skills & experience include:
    • Fluency in French.
    • >1 year of experience working in a healthcare context.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and be a self-directed learner.
