How to Skyrocket in Life Sciences (1/2)

– Get inspirations to build your own company –

We, the Foundersclub and the btS Freiburg, host the first event that is all about entrepreneurial ambitions in life sciences. We invite 3 guests with very different backgrounds.
William founded his company TailorDev in 2014 along with his campanion Julien.
TailorDev is specializing in the field of bioinformatics and is dedicated to develop smart tools to ease scientific work in biotechnology. Check out their website to learn more about them and the Open Science approach.
Stephan Emmerth will present the features of the recently established incubator BaseLaunch. They provide laboratory, financial resources and a huge network. To find out more about the program and to apply (until June) please visit their website.
Helmut Kessmann is a seasoned entrepreneur and knows exactly the specific challenges that await you when you start a company in the life sciences sector. These challenges comprise negoatiating a deal with the local tech transfer office, establishing a development plan, defining a financing strategy, raising money and recruiting a team.

After the presentations you have time to connect directly to the speakers at our get-together. This is also the perfect opportunity to get to know other students, PhDs and postdocs that are interested in biotechnology and entrepreneurship.
